This privacy policy applies to the Job83 website and native Android app. It explains what information Job83 may collect, how it is used and shared, and how users can exercise their privacy rights.

Optional website audience analytics is off until you allow it on the Cookie Policy page. This includes Job83 audience-measurement requests and Google Analytics for Firebase when configured. Essential service and security requests still occur. Analytics may include a browser identifier, public page visits, basic interactions, device/browser information and IP-derived data; Job83 does not deliberately send CV contents, signatures, account credentials or search-query text to Google Analytics.
Job83 may collect account and contact details; profile, education and employment information; CV and Z83 details, signatures and declarations; saved jobs, alerts and applications; uploaded and generated files; support or employer messages; billing references and access status; province or city supplied by the user; device identifiers, IP address, browser or app information, diagnostics, analytics events, advertising choices and notification preferences.
We use information to provide job search, matching, alerts, CV tools, Z83 tools, saved applications, billing, fraud prevention, support, analytics, security, and service improvement.
When you request document extraction, rewriting or AI assistance, relevant uploaded text, images or profile details may be sent to the configured AI provider, including Google Gemini, to produce that output. Hosting and document-processing services also handle files needed for those features. Do not supply unrelated sensitive records. Review generated wording and documents before use; an AI suggestion is not an employment decision or a guarantee of accuracy.
Job83 is independent and is not a government entity. Government job information is sourced from official vacancy circulars and department sources where available, and users must verify the original official source before applying. Job83 helps prepare documents but does not submit government applications. Z83 fields, signatures, uploads, and generated documents are private user data processed only to provide requested features, operate the account, secure the service, and meet stated legal obligations. Job83 does not guarantee employment, an interview, shortlisting, or appointment.
Free users may be shown clearly labelled advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google Mobile Ads, may process cookies, app-set or advertising identifiers, IP-derived approximate location, app interactions and diagnostics to serve or measure ads, prevent fraud, provide analytics, and personalise or limit advertising according to the user’s consent, device settings and applicable law. Candidates with active R50 access are not shown Job83 ad placements during the 30-day access period, although essential security, payment and service processing continues.
When Google AdSense or another third-party advertising service is enabled on the website, third parties, including Google, may place and read cookies, use web beacons, IP addresses and other identifiers to deliver, measure and secure ads. Google and its partners may use advertising cookies to personalise ads based on visits to Job83 and other sites. This describes advertising when enabled, not a claim that Google has approved Job83. Website advertising consent is separate from the analytics choice. Google provides information about partner-site data use and controls for personalised advertising.
Job83 does not sell candidate CVs or profiles as a data product. Information may be shared with contracted operators and service providers that support hosting, databases, file storage, email, notifications, analytics, advertising, AI or document processing, payments, security and customer support. When a user deliberately sends an application or message through a Job83 feature, the selected information may also be provided to the relevant employer or recipient. Providers should process information only for the service they supply and protect it appropriately.
Payments are processed by iKhokha or another displayed payment provider. Job83 stores payment references, transaction status, token/access records, and billing support messages, but does not store full card details on our own servers.
Users can update profile information, manage available notification or advertising choices, request access or correction, object to certain processing, withdraw optional consent, or request deletion. Account deletion can be started from the Android Profile screen or at https://job83.org/account-deletion. Job83 may verify identity and retain limited records where law, security, fraud prevention, payment disputes or another lawful reason requires it.
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal/accounting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and improve the platform. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no online system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Some service providers may process information outside South Africa. Job83 aims to use providers and contractual, legal or organisational safeguards that provide appropriate protection for the information and the transfer.
Job83 is designed for people seeking legitimate work and is not directed to children. A person who is not legally able to consent should use Job83 only with a parent or guardian where required and should not submit another person’s information without authority.
